The Power Pack kids were watching tv at home when the Venom Symbiote snuck inside the house, looking for their father's notes on the Anti-Matter Machine. Katie Power spotted the symbiote and attacked it, only for the symbiote to bond with her. By the time Katie's siblings showed up, the symbiote was in control over Katie and used her powers to fight off their efforts to free her. Leaping outside and onto the street, Venom through Katie revealed to others that their father had secretly resumed working on his Anti-Matter Machine despite swearing never to do that again. Siryn showed up and destabilized the symbiote with her acoustic powers so it fled, taking Katie with it.[1]
