History
After being killed by Mister Sinister, Kate Pryde was resurrected with her DNA tainted by Sinister, instilling loyalty to his cause and a personality shorn of ethics. Along with other sleeper Sinisters on the Council, she worked towards the goal of total dominion over Earth.
Within ten years, they had secured their grip on the planet, and managed to undo Sinister's top-level control imprints, granting them a greater level of self-determination. They defied their "creator," choosing to pursue war against the interstellar empires rather than focus on Sinister's goal of becoming a Dominion.[3]
Nearly 90 years later, the council had stamped out nearly all intergalactic opposition.[4] With their other rivals destroyed, the sinister-corrupted mutantkind became the dominant life forms in the galaxy. With no more external foes, they soon turned on each other. 900 years later they had splintered into nearly a million separate polities.
At some point, Kate became an exile, carving out a niche for herself as Pirate Queen of the Void, her roving packs of pirates stalking the cosmos in search of victims to tear apart for parts.[2]
She was presumably killed when Sinister activated a kill-switch, ending the lives of every mutant in the galaxy.[5]See Also
