Keku was the god of darkness and chaos of the Ogdoad, the first iteration of Egyptian gods.[3] He became one of the Ogdoad's four primal gods, along with Amun, Nun/Nu of the primordial waters, and Hauhet.[4]
History
Eons ago, working through Keku, the Elder God Chthon tempted and broke the sorcerer Heka-Nut into his service in his attempt to claim all Cornerstones of Creation.[3] Previously, Heka-Nut had acted as the intermediary between the four primal gods of the Ogdoad for a thousand years.[4]
However, as Ammon Ra's first creations, the Ogdoad were imperfect and aged more rapidly than the virtually immortal Ra, and most eventually perished under unrevealed circumstances (presumably including Keku). Following the death of the Ogdoad, Ra started anew, siring the first of the Ennead, the next iteration of Egyptian gods.[2]Notes
