Keluka the Sworder was a member of Imbalayo's mercenary Kushite troop.

The troop was brought to Asgalun, in Pelishtia, a province Shem, along with Mazdak's Hyrkanian cavalry of Mazdak and the Anakian troop led by Othbaal to enforce the rule of King Akhîrom.

Keluka and two other Kushites tried to ambush and slay Mazdak in the streets of Asgalun at night, but Mazdak survived the assassination thanks to Conan whom he had encountered instants before and had antagonised, thinking he was following him.

Mazdak recognized Keluka, took his ring, then had Conan help him dispose of the bodies, which he did by throwing them into a ruined well.

Mazdak and Conan later went into the Inner City of Asgalun, to assassinate the Anaki Othbaal in his house (formerly King Uriaz's pleasure-house, and Mazdak). After Conan killed Othbaal, Mazdak left Keluka's ring in order to frame the Kushites. The Anakim soon began accusing Keluka of having killed Othbaal and asked for Imbalayo's death. The Anakim eventually rallied with the revolting Asgalunim, and attacked the Kushites.[1]
