Ghost Rider[source]

History

Origin[]

Before he became the Ghost Rider, Zero was a gang member on the outskirts of Transverse City. One of the ways he made a living was hustling, as shown when he scammed a newcomer out of all his credit and hover car parts.[1]

One day Zero's gang the Hotwyre Martyrs decided to board a D/Monix transport truck with the intent of stealing power cells, and Zero jacked his mind into the security system. When the others discovered the truck was carrying an android, not power cells, Zero noticed a self destruct activate in cyberspace. He warned his friends but ultimately everyone on board was killed. Zero's consciousness was sent to the Ghostworks, where he met its king, Blaze. Blaze explained that Zero's father had been the one to trigger the self destruct, and Zero agreed to a deal in which he would return to earth more powerful than before but in exchange would do "odd jobs" for Blaze.

When he awoke it was in body of the android that D/Monix was transporting, and he quickly disabled the SHIELD agents guarding it, stealing one of their hover bikes. He then returned to his girlfriends repair bay where they took out a rival gang, The Artificial Kidz, who were sent by D/Monix to capture him. The new Ghost Rider then proceeded to storm D/Monix headquarters and murder his father.[2]

Celestial Garden[]

Zero went on to create the Ghost Spire at the Dead Zone, where he would guard his people after leaving his corporeal form. He was later visited by Spider-Man, who asked for help with an encrypted data drive that he found after the corpse of Jovion the Enactor crashed on the Wastelands of Earth, creating a Celestial Garden. After Ghost Rider helped Miguel decipher the information on the data drive, The Cabal's shocktroopers attacked the Ghost Spire. Following the attack, they found that the Cabal put a bounty on the Celestial Garden, granting membership in their ranks to whoever could secure it, and that the founder of the organization was Norman Osborn.[3]

After Spider-Man got the people of the Ghost Spire safely to Transverse City, Zero informed Miguel of an ex-soldier that could help him shut down Osborn's bounty.[4] Ghost Rider would later arrive to help Spider-Man and the X-Men during their fight with Norman Osborn and the Cabal at the garden. Zero and Nostromo successfully destroyed the Cabal's Black Cards, causing them to lose their economic power while the heroes defeated the army.[5]

Dark Genesis[]

Zero later built the Ghost Room as a new site to replace the destroyed Ghost Spire. After Michael Erick started to attack the Alchemax Commerce Plaza with the Carnage Symbiote. The violence and chaos woke up the Ghost Rider, who decided that it was time to step in.[6]

Spider-Woman later arrived at the Ghost Room on Lyla's recommendation to ask Zero to extract Carnage's rot from Miguel O'Hara's body, to which he agreed. Due to not being entertained by physical anatomy, Ghost Rider contacted Blade for help, and he successfully healed Miguel. After Sivern came up with the idea to deoxygenate Carnage's blood to starve it, the group agreed to trap the symbiote in the Ghost Room.[7]

Ghost Rider stayed at the Ghost Room with Lyla while they waited for the other heroes to lure Carnage into the trap, Zero questioned the plan and claimed that he didn't trust Spider-Man, but Lyla assured him that it would work.[8]
