History
Parnival Plunder had concocted an elaborate lie about a plan to get his brother's half of an ancient medallion. In reality, he was just distracting Ka-Zar and Shanna long enough for his men to steal the terraformer that gives the Antarctic Savage Land life. Parnival tested out the terraformer in Manhattan for the evil god Thanos, who wanted to use the machine to choke the life from the universe.
By the time Ka-Zar and Shanna realized the medallion may have actually been a key to entering the terraformer and stopping Thanos, Panival destroyed it and escaped.
Five years later Parnival reappeared telling Ka-Zar and Shanna that they could destroy the terraformer but that both he and his brother would have to sacrifice in order to use simultaneously the two sides of the medallion, which readily Ka-Zar accepted.[1].Attributes
