High Priest Kharam-Akkad was confused and obsessed by the Mirrors of Thuzun Thune, because when he looked upon them, he was seeing Conan standing over his dead body, with the images of a lion, eagle and serpent hovering above. He then ordered Chumballa Bey to bring the Cimmerian before him, and forced him to look into a mirror, from where a tentacled monster reached out. Helped by Chumballa Bey, Conan fought it off, and then confronted the priest. In horror, Akkad realized that Conan's sword had an eagle on the hilt, and his shield was held with snake-skin straps. He wondered what the lion was meaning as he was killed by Conan, not knowing that he was one day destined to be called Amra, the lion[1].
