Story Sypnosis

The comic begins with Kick Ass reading a letter from Hit-Girl. Since she has been arrested after the events in Times Square, she has left Kick-Ass all of her gadgets, vehicles and $2,000,000. She also leaves him instructions to break her out of prison. Kick-Ass and the other members of Justice Forever train for 6 weeks to break her out, but get afraid when they see how big the Prison Gates are and run away when they are spotted by a patrolling cop. After 6 months, they have done nothing. Dave, Todd and Marty all graduate from High School, unknown by Dave and Todd, Marty turns out to be a genius and goes off to Harvard University to study medicine, while Todd and Dave get jobs at a Fast-Food Restaurant and at the Comic Book Store. Dave and Todd share an apartment and go on patrol together as Kick-Ass and Ass-Kicker. They childishly interrogate a group of men in a bar to find the location of a burglar named Tay Weez. They go to Tay's apartment, and break in rather theatrically, to find him over-dosed. Back at the Justice Forever headquarters, a hero named The Juice moves himself into the headquarters and makes a mess of the place, also allowing his girlfriend to use Hit-Girl's car to get groceries. He also has her buy The Avengers boxset using the team's funds. This frustrates Kick-Ass, who threatens him with expulsion from the group if he doesn't show more respect. Later, Kick-Ass goes on patrol and finds himself cornered by a group of muggers.
