History
Origins[]

Dr. Killian Devo was a retired S.T.R.I.K.E. operative. At some point in his life, he was found by a version of Omega Sentinel from an alternate future where mutantkind had prevailed, becoming the dominant lifeforms on Earth and destroying both human and machine resistance. The Omega Sentinel blinded Devo, replacing his eyes with cybernetic implants. Through this action, she rewrote his memories, sharing her own life experiences with him. Believing himself to have come from her dystopic world, Devo established Orchis, an anti-mutant organization aimed at preventing the possible dire future through the extermination of mutantkind.[1]
Orchis[]
Following the establishment of the mutant-exclusive society of Krakoa, the Orchis Protocols were enacted and Orchis was made operational, staffed by agents from groups like S.T.R.I.K.E., A.I.M., S.H.I.E.L.D., S.W.O.R.D., Alpha Flight, A.R.M.O.R., and even H.A.M.M.E.R. and Hydra.[2]
Based in the space-station baptized as the Forge, Devo led Orchis as their director[3] and leader of their Central Column.[4] Devo remained unaware of the true purpose of Orchis. Omega Sentinel had established the organisation so that humanity and mutantkind would be busy fighting each other, while she enacted her plan of attracting a Dominion, which would absorb her and the other Sentinels into its infinite self.[5]
After Dr. Alia Gregor succeeded in bringing Nimrod online, Omega Sentinel recruited him to her true cause.[1] It would not be long before Orchis escalated their plans. Having hacked the Krakoan medicines that the nascent mutant nation had used to buy acceptance from the United Nations, Orchis launched a massive attack on the Hellfire Gala, blackmailing Professor X into telepathically forcing every mutant on Earth into portals to Arakko, threatening to use their control of the Krakoan medicines to begin killing humans for every mutant that remained.[6]
However, the mutants soon began mounting a resistance, as many key X-Men had been able to resist Xavier's command. Aided by Krakoan traitor Sebastian Shaw, Devo was kept secure, in case the mutants succeeded and Orchis needed to be re-established. However, true to his nature Shaw was playing both sides, and had planned to turn Devo over to the mutants if it appeared that they would win. Shaw's son Shinobi Shaw forced his father's hand by revealing Devo's location to the X-Men. The X-Men attacked the boat carrying Devo. He attempted to exile the team to the Negative Zone with Reed Richards' tech confiscated by Orchis. However, he was stopped by the Latverian mutants, and killed by Volta Doom.[5]Attributes
