Kirk Heinrick was a well known ivory hunter who built a fortress in the Belgian Congo in the early 1940s. Ka-Zar spotted Heinrick's home and investigated. Upon meeting Ka-Zar, Heinrick introduced himself and offered Ka-Zar to work for him by bringing him elephants to slaughter for their ivory. Furious at this request, Ka-Zar attacked Heinrick who quickly gave up. As a show of good faith he suggested Ka-Zar accompany him to his headhunters so he could witness their dismissal. While walking through his compound Heinrick ambushed him and pushed him into an enclosed well. Surrounded by headhunters who were throwing spears at the hero Ka-Zar swam down and discovered a hole in the well that led to the compound's mote and his freedom.
Soon after escaping from Heinrick's clutches, Ka-Zar spoke with his friend Trajah who, with his assistance, gathered an army of elephants that stormed Heinrick's home attacking him and his men.[1]
The outcome of the battle is left unrevealed, and Heinrick's fate after Ka-Zar's elephant assault is unknown.
