History
Knull's history presumably mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart, being a primordial elder god of darkness who created the symbiotes and other monsters out of living abyss. Imprisoned by his creations in Klyntar, Knull lay dormant for millennia, attempting to find a vessel he could use to escape his prison. Knull made contact with Dylan Brock — a human-symbiote hybrid conceived by Anne Weying and the Venom symbiote — and bent the child to his will, brainwashing him into becoming his loyal acolyte Codex. At Knull's behest, Codex tore a piece of the Venom symbiote from his mother and used the power Knull had bestowed upon him to grow it into a symbiote of his own, spawning offshoots of it to conquer and subjugate the Earth.[2]
As Knull imbued Dylan with his power, Codex was corrupted into a monstrous form similar in appearance to Knull himself — sporting pale skin, white hair, red eyes, fangs, and claws. Communing with Codex through his dreams, Knull commanded his acolyte to free him from his prison. However, before Codex could find a way to do so, his base was attacked by the Resistance and his connection to Knull was severed by the Dylan Brock of Earth-616, the psychic backlash leaving Dylan comatose.[1]Personality
Much like his Earth-616 counterpart, Knull hates the Light of existence, desiring to destroy or corrupt it and return all existence to the Void.[2] With Dylan Brock corrupted into his acolyte, Knull desires to be freed from Klyntar.[1]
