History

An ancient cosmic entity predating the universe itself, Knull reigned over the primordial Void and was enraged when the Celestials began filling the nascent universe with Light, declaring war on them. Using the living abyss of his own shadow, Knull forged the first four Symbiotes - All-Black, Scream, Mania, and Scorn - and used them as weapons.

When most of the Celestials had been slain, Knull considered his task complete and attempted to forsake his creations - no longer having any use for them. When the four symbiotes refused to separate from him, Knull was enraged and tore them from his body, leaving them for dead and returning to the Void from whence he had come.

Personality

Vicious, cruel, warlike, and controlling, Knull was furious when the Celestials began spreading light throughout the primordial universe and created the symbiotes to serve as weapons in his war against them. Once most of the Celestials were killed, Knull callously discarded the symbiotes - who he had viewed as mere tools despite them being living creatures - and left them for dead when he felt he had no more use for them.

Symbiote Armor: By bonding to the amalgamated All-Black, Scream, Mania, and Scorn symbiotes, Knull encased his body in a suit of black symbiote-armor with red dragon emblems on its chest and back, spiny pauldrons, and a horned crown. When he no longer felt he needed the symbiotes, he tore the armor from his body - separating it into its constituent symbiotes - and abandoned them.

• Necrosword: By bonding to the amalgamated All-Black, Scream, Mania, and Scorn symbiotes, Knull manifested a crimson Necrosword as his primary weapon during his war against the Celestials. When he no longer felt he needed the symbiotes, he cast the Necrosword into the divine forge he'd used to create the symbiotes - destroying it.
• Symbiote Weapons: Using the four symbiotes comprising his armor, Knull was capable of manifesting a variety of weapons - including a spiked mace, an arm-blade, enlarged claws, and blade-tipped tentacles. When he no longer felt he needed the symbiotes, he tore the symbiote armor from his body - separating it into its constituent symbiotes - and abandoned them.

• The Exolon also existed in this universe, but it is unknown if Knull created them like in Earth-616.
