History

An ancient god of darkness, Knull is the embodiment of the primordial void that existed before the creation of the universe and took physical form to wage war against the Celestials, other cosmic entities and gods, and life itself. The symbiotes eventually rebelled against him and sealed him away at the core of the artificial planet Klyntar, but Knull was eventually reawakened and escaped his imprisonment, embarking on a warpath to corrupt and consume the universe. Devastating the Kree-Skrull Alliance, Knull set his sights on conquering Earth in revenge for Venom defying him.

Personality

Knull is described as being evil incarnate, seeking nothing less than the eradication of the universe itself. He commands his army of symbiotes to corrupt any and all life they encounter, and consume those who would oppose him.

• The Light: Knull -- as a primordial god of darkness -- is vulnerable to the metaphysical force embodying his polar opposite, and can be stunned and weakened by light-based and divine attacks such as Thor's lightning.

• Symbiote Armor: Knull is clad in a symbiotic suit of armor -- broken down into Living Symbiote Armor, Pants of Darkness, and Boots of the Abyss -- manifested from the living abyss, sporting red dragon emblems on its chest and back.

• Necrosword: Knull wields his symbiote, All-Black, in the form a Necrosword which he uses to deliver devastating blows, and can fire blasts of crimson energy and living abyss from it.

Transportation

• Symbiote Dragon: Knull can conjure a wyvern-like symbiote dragon, sporting a white version of his dragon emblem on its chest. While mounted on the symbiote dragon, Knull's mobility is greatly increased, and the beast can regurgitate torrents of living abyss that can infect opponents, turning them into Knull's symbiote-augmented slaves.

Notes

• Knull is a World Boss in Marvel Future Fight, announced in October 2020 to coincide with the then-upcoming King in Black event.
  • The first phase of Knull's boss fight begins with him seated on his throne, attacking with Symbiotes and blasts of red energy.
  • In the second phase of his boss fight, he gets off his throne and attacks wielding his Necrosword.
  • At the beginning of the third phase of his boss fight, he summons a Symbiote Dragon to use as a mount.
  • In the fourth phase, Thor stuns Knull, but if the player doesn't defeat him before he recovers - within roughly 25 seconds - then he will automatically win the fight.
• Getting hit by Knull's symbiote attacks builds up a corruption meter, and if the player gets hit five times their character will be taken over and they will lose the battle.
• Knull was announced to be an unlockable playable character on January 17, 2021; and was added to the game on February 2, 2021.
