History

In the ninth life of Moira X, she helped Apocalypse rescue his First Horsemen and establish the X-Men. The mutant nation of Krakoa was formed, but in the year 98 of Moira's ninth life, it fell after the mutants were betrayed by Mister Sinister. The surviving mutants relocated to Asteroid K, along with Krakoa who took over the body of long-dead Douglas Ramsey to manifest as its own entity and became one of Apocalypse's Horseman of Famine.

After a few years, Apocalypse and Moira formulated a plan to take out Nimrod, but it took decades to properly execute. Eventually, a quarter of mutants managed to infiltrate the indexing repository of the machine lore and obtain the key that would lead them to where information about Nimrod's origin was stored. As the mission went on, Famine and the other Horsemen saw that Rasputin and Cardinal had returned from a mission.

Famine used Douglas Ramsey's power to decipher the information and find the exact nodule containing pertinent information regarding the genesis protocols of Nimrod's creation. With that data, a strike mission was put into place, but fellow member War worried that without the cloaking ability of the deceased Percival the plan would be straight suicide. Apocalypse ensured everyone that they would be successful as he going to lead them into battle himself.

Famine opening a portal for War

The team split into two groups with Famine going with Apocalypse and War to the main data repository while the others created a distraction to keep the machines busy. After Famine hacked into the citadel, the team began to look into the archives to find out when Nimrod originally came online. But this intrusion didn't go unnoticed as Nimrod was alerted to their presence. Famine managed to download the information into the data crystal, but before they could leave they were attacked by Nimrod. Famine opened the Gateway back to Asteroid K and Apocalypse ordered Logan to return back with the data crystal to finish their mission. Famine and Apocalypse stayed behind to fight Nimrod, giving Logan enough time to bring information to Moira and then kill her to let her reincarnate.

• Living Portal: Krakoa was able to open the Gateway inside of his body, allowing others to teleport through it back to Asteroid K.
• Omnilingual Translation: Thanks to possessing Douglas Ramsey's corpse, Krakoa was able to use Doug's power to decipher sentinel's files.

It is unknown if Krakoa had any other powers or gained anything after becoming the Horseman of Famine.
