History
When the Fantastic Four and the Avengers sacrificed their lives to destroy Onslaught, Franklin Richards, the son of the FF's Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman subconsciously created a pocket universe to save their lives. There they spent an entire year reliving living new lives "reborn" into a reality where they recently gained their abilities that vaguely mirror how they gained their powers originally.[citation needed]
In this new universe, Franklin created populated universe, including recreations of many of these heroes allies and foes. Among these creations was one based on Warlord Krang constant enemy of Namor the Sub-Mariner.[citation needed]
The Counter-Earth version of Warlord Krang would be much like his Earth-616 counterpart. In modern times he would be the warlord of Atlantis and close adviser to Namor. Krang would have aspirations to take over Atlantis for himself and seek to take Namor's place as ruler of the realm and wage war against the surface world. To this end, he would poison Lady Dorma and make it appear as though the surface worlds pollutants were the cause of her illness. Furious that his lover would be so effected by the surface men and not wishing the same fate of his followers, Namor would be tricked into waging war on the surface world.[citation needed]
Krang would lead that Atlantean army on an attack on New York City, leading to a clash with the newly formed Fantastic Four and Avengers. The battle would escalate to the point where Namor would use the Trumpet Horn of Atlantis to summon Giganto. When Namor would be convinced by Captain America to stand down and deal with matter diplomatically Krang would injure Namor so that he could not call off the battle. However, Namor would ultimately be cured and Krang stopped and taken prisoner.[citation needed]
Sometime later, when most of Counter-Earth's heroes would return home to their native Earth-616, the world would be thrown into complete chaos thanks to The Dreaming Celestial, during this time New York City would be flooded in water and Dorma would become a ruthless ruler of Atlantis. Krang would be freed from his imprisonment and would seek to destroy the surface dwellers. If he was acting on orders from Lady Dorma or acting on his own ambition remains unrevealed.[citation needed]
He would form a supposed alliance with the Black Knight of the Masters of Evil. Leading the Black Knight into believing that a surface world controlled by the Masters of Evil would serve his purposes, Krang would give the Knight the Trumpet Horn of Atlantis. He would tell the Black Knight that it would summon the beast Giganto for him to control knowing that the Knight was unaware that Giganto was destroyed by the Fantastic Four during the Atlantians previous invasion on New York City. In reality, Krang hoped that the Black Knight would use the horn as it would summon an army of sea-monsters that would create more flooding that would immerse the rest of the United States under water.[citation needed]
Unaware of this betrayal, the Black Knight would order his operatives Whirlwind and Radioactive Man to slay Krang and his minions. This would be accomplished when Radioactive Man would use his powers to microwave all of Lake Michigan, killing Krang and his troops along with every fish in the lake.[citation needed]
Krang's ultimate plot would never see the light of day as the Black Knight would be killed by a Doombot posing as Dr. Doom.[citation needed]See Also
