History

Kron Stone (Earth-928) Punisher 2099 Vol 1 1

Kron Stone

Kron Stone is the older half-brother of Miguel O'Hara (they share the same father, Tyler Stone). Kron has always been a bully and takes enjoyment in other people's pain. The relationship between the two is so conflicted that Miguel tried to kill his brother.

In his introduction, Stone gave the orders to have Jake Gallows' family killed. Gallows found Stone and fatally wounded him with a knife and dumped his body into the sewer[1]. Following the altercation Kron lay dying in the sewer, his body brushed up against a black ball. The ball then bonded with him and formed a new Venom. The symbiote was described as having mutated over the years, and displayed new abilities in this time line, including acidic blood and saliva. With this new power, Stone sought to emotionally torture Miguel -- whom Kron never discovered was his half-brother -- by hurting those close to him, going so far as to kill Miguel's former love Dana. The future Spider-Man and Venom fought, and Spider-Man was the victor. After the fight he had the town turn on sonics through all of the speakers, thus neutralizing Venom. They then brought him back to the lab for study. It was shown that part of the Venom symbiote was still at the Alchemax lab for testing. It was revealed that the symbiote bonded with Kron on a molecular level, giving Kron an amorphous physiology that allowed his body to take on the properties of the symbiote itself.

As Venom

Later, after the symbiote was separated from Kron, it merged with Roman the Sub-Mariner who fled to the ocean and is never seen again[2]. It was later shown that part of the symbiote is at the Alchemax lab for studying [3]. Under unknown circumstances, Kron was transformed into a scorpion-like creature which after having mutated significantly, is shown making a nest and having laid eggs in a presumably abandoned building.

He later steals the fragment of the Tablet of Order and Chaos from the Public Eye operatives causing his enemy, Spider-Man, to pursue him. The fragment gifts him the ability to create eggs. When Miguel confronts Kron, he mentions that he was hired by a smart lady with a green and yellow suit, and metal shiny arms to steal the tablet fragment in exchange for Scorpion to become human again. Spider-Man fights Scorpion when he uses the tablet fragment's power to emit green acid which quickly makes his eggs. His acid eventually becomes the item of his defeat when it is used to drop debris from a previous battle on top of him. Spider-Man defeats Scorpion by pinning him down with a broken car and claims the tablet fragment. While initially Spider-Man hates his mutated foe, he considers it to be a hollow victory because Kron stole it in a pathetic and misguided attempt to cure himself.[4]

Attributes

Powers

Powers (Scorpion)

Scorpion's DNA provides Kron with superhuman strength, speed, stamina and reflexes, the ability to stick to every surface and to emit acid from his mouth. He's got a sharp and poisonous stinger at the end of his long and strong tail, and his right hand has been transformed into a giant claw.

Weaknesses

Trivia

It is interesting that Kron has something similar to Mac Gargan, as both so far have been Venom and Scorpion, just in the opposite order from each other.
