History

Kru the Vulture lived in the Belgian Congo during the 1930s.

Young David Rand, later known as Ka-Zar, followed Kru to find Zar the lion trapped in quicksand. Later, when Ka-Zar clashed with the ape known as Bardak over possession of a mirror once owned by Paul de Kraft, Kru watched eagerly waiting for the battle's conclusion so that he could feast on the loser. Ka-Zar slew Bardak, and Kru presumably feasted on his corpse.
