History

Nightcrawler was among the X-Men in their battle against D'ken, Deathbird and Vulcan in order to save Xavier. When Vulcan was knocked into the M'kraan Crystal, Corsair asked Nightcrawler to teleport inside the rescue him but Kurt was unable to. He was killed after Vulcan took control of the Phoenix Force.
