—Rocket Raccoon[source]Kiddo. Look around you. The Kymellians are a fancy wizard race! They can lift mountains with their minds! They built a utopia! They don't need you down on your knees in the dirt! They're humoring you!
History
Early years[]
Centuries ago, the Kymellians experimented with a formula to generate energy from antimatter, but destroyed their home planet, Kymellia. Many Kymellians survived, and created a new home: a huge artificial world named Kymellia II. Kymellians had the latent potential of superpowers. These include abilities they considered 'lesser' such as teleportation and healing, and other, 'major' ones. Mastering the major powers is very rare among them. The Kymellians' ancestral enemies, the Zn'rx, called them "Sorcerers" for their powers, although no magic was actually involved[2] (nevertheless, some White Room Kymellians became mages).[3]
White Room[]
Kymellian "Inhumans"
The Kree experimented on Kymellians to create weapons, changing them into Inhumans. Those experiments involved them consuming the nectar that blooms from the Antigen Tree, a mutagenic substance able to trigger powers, a process known as Antigenesis.[4]
Power Pack[]
Aelfyre "Whitey" Whitemane and his Smartship Friday, one of many sentient starships used by Kymellians which he called Friday after the character in Robinson Crusoe (after Aelfyre's interest in human literature), were studying Earth when a human scientist, Dr. James Power, was about to commit the same mistake that destroyed Kymellia. Whitey tried to ask his people for permission to interfere and save the Earth, but his message was intercepted by another race the Zn'rx (pronounced "Snarks"), and they kidnapped Dr. Power and his wife Margaret to learn the anti-matter formula. Whitey was mortally wounded in the shootout. Still he rescued the Power's four children, and granted them the powers he had mastered as a Kymellian Sorcerer: control over gravity and the abilities to fly, to change his molecular density, and to convert matter into energy. With this final act, Whitey perished. The children used their new powers to save the world and their parents, and become the superhero group the Power Pack.[5]
Months later, Power Pack travelled to Kymellia II, where they learned that most Kymellians thought poorly of Whitey's decision, and that their culture was under the influence of a ruthless Kymellian Technocrat. The Pack even had to fight the Kymellian champions the Force Four, a team of four Kymellian Sorcerers. The Pack defeated them, and then saved the Kymellians from the Zn'rx matriarch Maraud with help from Numinus, a cosmic being who wished to prevent the race from going extinct. During these events, Ghostmare became The Matriarch, the Kymellians' spiritual leader, and established a new planet, Kymellia III.[6][7]
Infinity[]
The Kymellians were caught in the midst of the Builder War. Their planet of Kymellia III was completely subjugated by the army of an Aleph who offered to spare them only if they stayed out of the conflict and accepted their defeat. However, all of the invaded worlds fought back, with the Accuser Corps freeing Kymellia and allowing the Kymellians to rejoin the war.[8] They were among the allied forces assembled against the Builders, which proved to be enough to finally take the invaders down.[9]
At some point, the Kymellians had gotten hold of the Black Vortex, a Celestial artifact that unleashed the cosmic potential of anyone who submitted to it, and kept it locked in the Ghostmare Vaults. Mister Knife sent his crew, the Slaughter Squad, to Kymellia III where they broke through the Kymellians' defenses and successfully stole it.[10]
Alternate Realities[]
Since the superhero team known as Power Pack received their powers from a dying Kymellian, it can be assumed that this alien race exists in some form or another in any reality in which there is an incarnation of Power Pack.
Counter-Earth[]
The Kymellians of the Counter-Earth pocket dimension were on a ship where they were conducting an eugenics experiment intended to mix Kymellian and human DNA. However, their ship crash landed on Counter-Earth, killing everyone on board. S.H.I.E.L.D. claimed the ship, and discovering the experiment inside they decided to engineer their own Kymellian-Human hybrid. The perfect candidate was found in the young Elric Freedom who S.H.I.E.L.D. experimented on for an extensive period of time, and although he was successfully turned into a hybrid with powers he managed to escape and become a hero named Kid Colt.[11]
Earth-5631[]
The Kymellians are one of seven alien species who, at some point in history, discovered the anti-matter formula, but in their attempt to harness this power caused their planet to be destroyed. Along with the other races that lost their planets this way, including the Snarks, they forged the remains of their world into Patchworld and outlawed the Anti-Matter technology. Patchworld itself is ruled by the Synod, a government body with representatives from each of the species living there. The leader of this Synod is a Kymellian called High Lord Byrel.[12]
Like the Earth-616 Kymellians, the Kymellians of this reality are naturally born with the ability to master the four fundamental forces of the universe: Gravity, Density, Energy and Velocity. Only few of them ever manage to fully master these powers. These Kymellians are known as sorcerers.[12]
Earth-9047[]
In Earth-9047, the Kymellians were known as the Smellians. At some point, the Smellians discovered that a warlike froglike alien species, the Snarfs, intended to invade the Earth, and sent The-Wednesday-after-the-day-before to warn the Earthlings. But the ship crashlanded near a beach. Fortunately it was found by the four young Bower siblings, Sammy, Tammy, Hammy and Katrina Bower, who it gave powers and uniforms to fight the Snarfs as the Bower Brats.[1]
Earth-92131[]
The Kymellians were at some point conquered by the Shi'ar Empire, and forced into labor.[13]Powers and Abilities
Powers
All Kymellians possess some power to manipulate gravity, acceleration, mass, and/or energy but the level of powers vary greatly and no two Kymellians are exactly alike in their powers. These powers granted them the capability to teleport, create molecular density fields, fire energy bolts and others. Most of them can develop their powers further with training and maturity, and could even share their powers between them.[5]
Kymellians were also capable of utilizing Magic for various feats like changing matter.[14]Abilities

Cultural Traits
Heavy reliance on technology. Tendency to disregard arts and emotions but there are many individuals who are exceptionally interested in those two fields.[citation needed] The Kymellians greatly valued courage and bravery, considering those who surrendered as cowards.[20] Kymellians would pledge their fists over their hearts when swearing on oaths.[14]
Food[]
One of the beverages produced by the Kymellians was Kymel, a non-alcoholic distilled milk of the Sun Mare, which may actually be exclusive to the White Room.[21]
Language[]
Old Kymellian is one of the languages (formerly) used by the Kymellians.[3]
Art[]
The Kymellians have a tabletop game based on pure strategy known as the Dance of Light, which is comparable to Sharrat.[22]
Education[]
Some Kymellian children attended the Intergalactic Academy of Science.[23]
Currency[]
The Kymellians began using the Sol, a new form of currency made out of Mysterium, after recognizing Planet Arakko as the capital of the Sol System.[24]
Festivities[]
The Kymellians often celebrated the Twilight Festival at night.[25]Representatives
Trivia
- Apparently, due to their horse-like digestive system, the Kymellians are vegetarians.[11]
