History

Lara Wilkinson was the mother of former mutant, Lenore Wilkinson who, like most of the world's mutant population, lost her powers on M-Day.

After being targeted by Cortex for assassination, Lenore made contact with XF Investigations because her suspicions about being followed and the mysterious nature of her best friend's death. To ease Lenore's tensions, Longshot volunteered to stand guard at her apartment. Cortex's first possessed Lara with the intent of murdering Lenore, but Longshot luckily saved her. Lara almost died when her gun backfired in her face. After this incident, Lara was freed from Cortex's possession, but with no memories of what she had done. It was however, thorough Lara that Monet became possessed by Cortex.
