Lazio is one of the 20 administrative regions of Italy. Situated in the central peninsular section of the country. The capital of Lazio is Rome, which is also the capital and largest city of Italy.
History
In the Lazio region the Latin populations developed, including the Romans, who over the centuries conquered the entire Lazio region and then pushed further to create the Roman Empire.
