Synopsis
David asks Switch to demonstrate how her time traveling powers work to him. They discover the portals Switch creates to enter the Hall of Time aren't strong enough for anyone other than herself to pass through them. Later, David communicates with Syd through the astral plane, and makes one last desperate bid for her to take him back. David even offers to rewind time to before the moment where he took advantage of her, but Syd says that he would still be the same person who could do that. Even more, he is still the person who ends the world. David's rage at his inability to make her love him again turns his commune's normally blue drugs a red color.
Division 3 drops Squirrel in the middle of a city so he can unknowingly lead them to the new location of the Enlightenment House. Instead, Squirrel is picked up by by Lenny and a van filled with other members of the commune. They take Squirrel out to the middle of the woods, where Lenny has a large table set up in a scene reminiscent of the tea party in Alice in Wonderland, and try to get him to confess to what he told Division 3 about the commune. Squirrel, however, just wants to take some of the commune's drugs, so Lenny forces him to take the now-red sample she has with her. Division 3 tries to capture them, but Lenny hijacks one of their vehicles with Cary still in the back while Kerry and Clark are distracted by the other cult members.
Cary wakes up in David's house. After sneaking past a commune member sent to look after him, Cary tries to escape from the house. He inadvertently walks into David's meditation room and is soon confronted by his former ally. David wants Cary's help by building something that will magnify Switch's powers. Lenny sneaks up behind Cary and subjects him to David's drug. While unconscious, Cary imagines his relationship with Kerry as a dance that, when the two of them each want to lead, David takes over. When he regains consciousness, Cary "willingly" wants to find a way to enhance Switch's powers so she can take David into the time stream with her. Switch and Lenny reveal they've recreated Cary's lab in a room of the house so he can get this done.Cast
