• Lemuria's first appearance appears to be have been retconned to be Fantastic Four Annual #1 (July, 1963), as the first panel of page 19 is reprised in the fourth panel of page 6 of Saga of the Sub-Mariner #1 (November, 1988), where it is described as the acquisition of the Serpent Crown by the Lemurians.
  • The handbooks lists Lemuria as first appearing in Sub-Mariner (Vol. 2) #9 (January, 1969), which is valid for the continent of Lemuria, while the kingdom and city only appeared in Sub-Mariner (Vol. 2) #10 (February, 1969).
