History

Len Wein was a writer for Marvel Comics, a company licensed to write comic books based on the superheroes living in their world.

Len joined his co-workers Roy Thomas, his wife Jean, Gerry Conway, Steve Englehart, and Len's wife Glynis on a road trip to Rutland, Vermont, for their annual Halloween parade. On the way there they had a brief encounter with the mutant hero known as the Beast and the Juggernaut.[1] As they arrived in town, they crossed over into a distant cosmos where they witnessed the Justice League of America battle their foe Felix Faust.[2] Crossing back over to their home reality, they later witnessed the thunder god Thor battle Loki and the Absorbing Man.[3] Eventually they crossed paths with the Beast one more time before returning home to New York.[1]

Len later became the editor of Man-Thing comics, written by Steve Gerber. When Gerber decided to stop writing the series after a cosmic battle involving himself and the Man-Thing, Gerber wrote a detailed letter to Len explaining his reason and his adventure - and made a copy for artist Jim Mooney in case Len wanted to publish it.[4]
