Professor Stort was Gamma Base's resident psychiatric advisor who developed or purchased the Distorter technology which allowed him to mind control beings whilst covered in a distorting energy field. He used to knock out the Hulk and learned his identity as Bruce Banner. He took control of the Hulk and began an attack on Gamma Base and used him to destroy a test rocket. The Hulk began to resist the Distorters powers and the pair fought each other. He was quickly defeated and rendered unconcious and discovered by General Ross and arrested.[1]
