Leo Fitz shared history with his counterpart from Earth-TRN676 up until the events leading to the destruction of the Earth. While Leo Fitz from Earth-TRN676 died while Earth-199999 he was on was saved, this Leo Fitz from Earth-TRN679 survived while Earth-TRN676 was destroyed.[1]

Leo Fitz, Jemma Simmons, Melinda May and Elena Rodriguez survived the immediate destruction of the Earth and used Zephyr One to evacuate to the Lighthouse with a small group of the Earth population, including Robin Hinton. Having already been to the future of the destroyed Earth, Fitz and Simmons began working on the very time machine that would eventually bring them there, though Fitz believed it was all pointless due to them being stuck in an endless time loop. In the year 2022 the Kree arrived to take over the Lighthouse, and despite former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents knowing for certain that the Kree plan to enslave Humanity, they grudgingly accepted their rule. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents changed their names to avoid Kree attention, and Leopold and Jemma eventually had a daughter. Robin Hinton continued having visions of the future, including the one where Jemma died in a pool of blood. Fitz and Simmons were unable to complete the time machine during their lifetime, passing their work to their daughter, who married Owen Shaw and eventually had a son named Deke, who was Fitz and Simmons' grandson.[2]

  • Portrayed by Iain De Caestecker, this version of Leo Fitz only appears in the flashbacks during Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode "The Last Day". Because of the Time Travel in Season 5, the group is stuck in a reocurring time loop, each time joined by Fitz who is not from their own reality. Every time S.H.I.E.L.D. agents travel into the future, they cross the timelines and are joined by the Fitz from the native reality who reached year 2091 by taking the slow path. When they later travel back in time, they return to their home reality, while Fitz is the one to cross the timelines into the alternate universe. Because of that, this version of Leo Fitz is the only on-screen indication of the numerous past loops.
