History
When Beast visited the Guthries along with Dark Beast, Dark Beast saw Lewis trying to make his 'mutant abilities' activate. Believing his powers would one day manifest, Dark Beast experimented on Lewis, injecting him with necrotized DNA found in Genosha on a depowered mutant, along with an immunosuppressant. Lewis almost died because of his experiments and Lewis' mom Lucinda shot the Dark Beast while Beast managed to save Lewis.[2][3]
He seemingly recovered and later joined the city marching band.[4]
When the mutant-only nation of Krakoa was created and his older siblings moved there, he was mistreated at school for being related to mutants; feeling abandoned and betrayed, he joined Flatscanners. When the nation was destroyed, his sister Paige returned home and he was asked to attack her with an anti-mutant gauntlet, but couldn't bring himself to do it.[5]Attributes
