Synopsis

Vicky Gibbs had experienced hallucinations urging her to flee her home with her children. In her escape attempt, she was discovered by her husband, Frank Gibbs, who was a hitman of Kingpin. As a result, Vicky ended up in the Pleasant Valley Mental Hospital. Exhausted from the events of Kraven's Last Hunt, Peter Parker stumbled upon the Vicky's children, Jacob and Tanya Gibbs, who sought his help to rescue their mother. Using his Spider-Man identity, he tried to assist them but ended up injured and fell from the roof of the hospital towards alley.[1]

Spider-Man was mistaken for a lunatic and transferred to the inside the hospital, to the Mad Dog Ward, where his costume was removed, and he was forcefully sedated. There, he encountered the rest of the Mad Dogs, including Captain Zero, and attempted to communicate with Vicky. However, Peter initiated a rebellion that only resulted in him and the other Mad Dogs being sedated. Elsewhere in the building, Doctor Hope was experimenting on Mad Dog 2020, code-named Brainstorm, to turn him into an assassin. [2]

Captain Zero was tricked to take him into a lobotomy, prompting Peter to seek the help of Mary, a hospital staff member, to stop the administration of drugs to the patients. This caused a major upheaval that Peter used to escape with Zero and Vicky. However, he was intercepted by Hope and Brainstorm, whom he defeated with the assistance of Frank Gibbs. Ultimately, the hospital was shut down, and Frank gave up his life of crime to escape with his family. [3]
