History

Overview

Liverpool is a city and metropolitan borough of Merseyside, England, United Kingdom along the eastern side of the Mersey Estuary.

19th century

Dracula was dragged out the water by a fisherman in Liverpool. He began attacking the locals. Gladys a bartender was turned by Dracula, who in turn changed Corker a gilded lover into a vampire as well. When their vampiric nature was discovered by the townsfolk, they were led by Father William, the local priest and staked to death.[1]

20th century

World War II

At a port in Liverpool, the Angel was preparing to sail home after a government mission. He witnessed a sailor who was knocked overboard his ship by a shipping hook. They pull the man out of the water and find him clinging to life. Everyone assumed it is an accident but the Angel is not convinced. The dying man tells the Angel to warn Inspector Blake of the Scotland Yard about "ice" before he dies. When the Angel goes to compare notes with Blake, they find no sense from the dying mans words but deduce that he got close to the diamonds and was killed for it. The Angel decides to take on the case to find the stolen diamonds by boarding the ship under the guise of a hired sailor.[2]

1960's

In the 1960's Liverpool became the centre of the "Merseybeat" sound, and the birthplace of the Beatles. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr were all natives of the city, The Beatles became most successful and musically influential band in popular history. Liverpool airport was later named after John Lennon.[3]
