History
Following the death of his brother Thor on Midgard, Loki invaded Earth with several Asgardians to "avenge" the death of his brother. He was met by S.H.I.E.L.D. and Nick Fury, and Loki attacked them using the Casket of Ancient Winters. Fury convinced Loki to let him find his brother's killer, and Loki gave Fury until dawn to find him.
Loki was later contacted by Fury and posed as him to meet with Hank Pym, who had killed the candidates for the Avengers initiative, including Thor, and was subsequently arrested. Loki took this opportunity to declare himself ruler of Earth, but this prompted Fury to contact Captain Marvel and recruit the frozen Captain America to overthrow him.[1]
Loki later led an assault on the Helicarrier, on which he had Fury at his mercy. Just as he was near victory, however, Loki was caught off-guard by an alternate Natasha Romanoff (who had been transported from her ruined universe by the Watcher), who enthralled him with his own scepter[2].Attributes
