History
Lord I was one of the mutants of Arcturus IV. Part of an attempt by the Genelords of Arcturus to create a super-race, he was not born of a woman but was created in one of the Incuflask factories. However, ten thousand years ago, when a nuclear war broke out due to violent opposition to the outlawing of reproduction by natural means, the radiation from the bombs did not kill the super-race but greatly mutated their physical forms. Some natural Arcturans survived but they numbered less than the mutants.
Lord I was leader of the mutants who were immortal and had lost any instinct for self preservation. The mutants desired to stop the Caretakers from ruining Earth with their experimentation and, to that end, Lord I enlisted the help of Morbius.[1]
Lord I guided Morbius to the last starship remaining on the planet and the two of them departed on a journey to Earth. Unfortunately, the flight took several weeks and during that period Morbius was overcome by his bloodlust and attacked Lord I, fatally draining him of blood. Lord I's body as found by Blade after the starship crashed in a midwestern city.[2]
