History

The Legion of Living Lightning was a group of soldiers and scientists dedicated to overthrowing the world's governments. Most of the original group died when their Lightning Machine overloaded in a conflict with the Incredible Hulk.

Miguel Santos, son of one of the Legion, accidentally connected himself to the Lightning Machine while exploring the demolished base. This transformed him into a super-being called the Living Lightning.

The renamed Lords of the Living Lightning eventually resurfaced as a thorn in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s paw.
