While travelling through the jungle Lorna and Greg Knight hear the drum beats calling the Gabu tribe to war. As usual, Lorna disobeys Greg's orders and swings into the jungle to see what she can do to stop the current crisis.
The drums are being played by the renegade Gabu warrior named Moki who seeks to take over the tribe. Akabi, the ruler of the tribe, tries to rally his people against Moki however they are also enthralled by the drums and come to Moki's call to war. Lorna arrives just as Moki has gathered his forces and tries to swing in to stop them when she is suddenly attacked by a lion. Greg comes to her rescue shooting the big cat dead, but their momentary distraction leaves them open to being captured.
