Spoiler Warning

Quote1.png Magic? Lou, why can't you just pick a normal teenage-boy theme? Like sports or...tugboats? Quote2.png

Louis "Lou" Tarleton is the second child and son of M.O.D.O.K. and Jodie.

Lou was born before the Tarleton's house move [2] and did not share M.O.D.O.K. and Melissa's genetic mutation. [3]

Bar Mitzvah Preparations

Around the time of his parent's divorce, Lou was nearing his Bar Mitzvah and was making extravagant plans for it. [3]

During his first weekend with M.O.D.O.K. since him moving out, Lou and Melissa were taken to a GRUMBL leadership conference. While Melissa accompanied M.O.D.O.K. on the leadership talk, Lou revelled in all the luxuries of the hotel, completely missing the crisis with the Ciegrimites as a result. [4]

Jodie and Lou entered A.I.M. headquarters late at night as Jodie had recently stated in her book that Lou had a peanut allergy and wanted to destroy evidence to the contrary. While Lou bonded with Carmilla in A.I.M.'s teen daycare, Monica was eventually able to give Lou a peanut allergy. [1]

Lou attended Melter's funeral with M.O.D.O.K. and Melissa. [5]

After a disastrous Bar Mitzvah rehearsal Jodie called upon M.O.D.O.K., who to take care of Lou for the day. M.O.D.O.K. took care of Lou for the day, trying to make Lou act more normal, M.O.D.O.K. pushed most of Lou's magical gear in a portal to Asgard, causing Lou to jump in the portal and M.O.D.O.K. to follow after him. After landing in Asgard Lou found most of his magical gear in a nearby bush. Upon recovering it, however, Lou kidnapped by a group of Kobold Goblins. The Goblins prepared to eat Lou, he was eventually able to escape by entertaining the Goblins with magic tricks. Eventually entertaining them onstage alongside Krawleen. When M.O.D.O.K. arrived at the Goblins' lair, he continued to be dismissive of Lou's magic, with Lou deciding to stay in Asgard should his father continue his attitude, leading to Lou having M.O.D.O.K. kicked out.

M.O.D.O.K. decided the only way to save his son was to declare war on him, blaming the death of Balder on Lou and the Goblins. The war lasted months, with Lou and the Goblins gaining the upper hand. Eventually the Goblins offered peace and, despite one last ditch effort by M.O.D.O.K. to wipe out the goblins, peace was achieved. Both sides went their separate ways while the Goblins sent M.O.D.O.K. to be executed. Lou was able to use his magic tricks to help M.O.D.O.K. escape from execution, making him warm to magic. Despite this, however, M.O.D.O.K. remained uncertain after a talk with Lou's Rabbi. [6]

During Jodie's Paperback book release party, Jodie used Melissa and Lou as part of her marketing tactics, causing the two to eventually rebel and shoot themselves with a Skinny Boy Laserita Gun. [7]

Later, Lou was captured and replaced with a robot by the Anomaly, Arcade and the Super Adaptoid. Restrained in a room with Jodie and Melissa, the three were forced to watch M.O.D.O.K. interact with the robot duplicates, making unsuccessful attempts to contact him until M.O.D.O.K. himself was revealed to be a robot built by the real M.O.D.O.K. The robot M.O.D.O.K. self-destructed as the three were freed from their restraints by M.O.D.O.K.'s hacking skills. Jodie, Melissa and Lou then met in Murderworld with M.O.D.O.K., two other versions of the family and their captors. Arcade explained the nature of Murderworld's death game, the Jodie and Melissa that Lou had been locked in with were themselves robots and the true versions of the family needing to kill the robot duplicates to escape; Arcade then disorientated the families so they couldn't tell who they came in with and introduced two robotic duplicates of M.O.D.O.K. Eventually, the family was able to eliminate most of the robot duplicates, with the robots either being killed by the real versions, committing suicide or accidentally killing themselves. The only uncertainty left was the two Lous, who the family decided to spare due to their sweet nature. M.O.D.O.K. goaded the Anomaly into a fight, causing Arcade to leave in protest. The Anomaly ripped out a vital piece of circuitry from M.O.D.O.K., making Jodie retaliate and rip the Anomaly in half. Melissa was able to save M.O.D.O.K's life by re-attaching the piece of circuitry. The family, went to dinner together. There, the Super Adaptoid came and apologised for betraying the family, causing them to reset him. The two Lous continued their life, with no way of telling which was which. [8] The two Lous agreed to share the same amount of food as one Lou, making the Tarleton grocery budget unchanged. [9]

Both Lous took part in their Bar Mitzvah, fully indulging in their eccentrics and theatrics during the Torah reading. Upon the reception, M.O.D.O.K. was not able to gain many teenage guests due to a misunderstanding, instead bringing patrons from the Bar with No Name, Ciegrimites and Jiggle-Os. The two Lous were miserable during their Bar Mitzvah, causing M.O.D.O.K. to talk to them. The Two Lous explained that they felt ignored by M.O.D.O.K. The two Lous danced with their father until they eventually broke off as the Lous begun socialising with Carmilla. After the Super Adaptoid freed two Ciegrimites from their restraints, the Anomaly arrived, the version Jodie had killed having been a robot duplicate, and fired missiles at both Lous and the rest of M.O.D.O.K.'s family. Killing them in an attempt to make his Earth-1226 Counterpart fulfill his dream of ruling the earth. [10]

Upon taking over the Earth, M.O.D.O.K. vowed to save Lou and the rest of his family and bring them to his utopia. [10]

Lou is an eccentric optimist.
