History

Mac Gargan was once known as the supervillain Scorpion. He later became the host of the Venom symbiote, the parasite alien which was previously attached to Spider-Man and was brought to Earth by the hero from Battleworld.

Sins of the Fathers

During the demon invasion in San Francisco, Venom followed the path of chaos created by this supernatural creatures to satisfy his hunger for destruction. He encountered S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Alliance, who were working with Daimon Hellstrom, and was defeated by the later.

Dark Reign

He later joined Dell Rusk's own version of the Avengers, posing as Spider-Man, but the Alliance along the newly-recruited Ares fought and defeated him and his teammates, exposing them to the media as the true villains they were.
