Maddy Pryor[src]

History

Maddy Pryor was a child hospitalized in San Francisco. She was reportedly sick, but eventually recovered from her illness. Sister Luke, a nun, arrived to take Maddy from the hospital. Maddy introduced herself to a police officer, Sgt. Golachinsky. He politely held the hospital door open for Maddy and Sister Luke.[1]

Notes

  • Maddy was possibly an orphan, as no parents arrived at the hospital to receive her. Just a nun.[1]
  • The hospital staff called her "Little Darling".[1]

Trivia

  • Maddy was a one-shot character who received her own scene in Avengers Annual #10. Her co-creator Chris Claremont created a more prominent character called Madelyne Pryor for the X-Men books. For years fans speculated about a connection between the two characters. In Uncanny X-Men #238 (November, 1988) Madelyne manifests a child version of herself, who looks like Maddy and quotes Maddy. This was an in-joke by Chris Claremont. He reportedly named both characters after British singer Madelaine Edith "Maddy" Prior (1947-).
