History

Makoto was helping her father slay vampires in Japan. Frost bit her father, forcing Blade to kill him. Makoto sought revenge against Blade, but was talked out of it by Van Helsing, Blade's mentor. Makoto replaced Van Helsing as Blade's partner to track down Frost as Van Helsing was starting to feel his age.
