Man-oo the gorilla lived in the jungle of Africa during the later half of the 20th Century. The mighty beast was a defender of the many animals of the jungle that could not defend themselves. In his first recorded adventure, Man-oo defended a family of Gazelles from Numa the lion[1]. Shortly thereafter, Man-oo clashed with his foe, the rival ape known as Kago, ending in Kago's death when the evil ape ended up strangling himself to death on a vine[2]. Man-oo later defended the animals in his jungle from a hunter and a snake[3], battled a rival gorilla named Babu[4][5], and fought an elephant and later rescued it when it was knocked in quicksand, earning its friendship.[6]

Man-oo's subsequent activities and fate are unknown.
