History
Captain Marvel was able to stop Thanos from wiping out all life in the universe but at the cost of all life in the Milky Way. He later killed Thanos with the Ebony Blade and met Genis-Vell of the prime marvel universe when he visited their reality. A short fight ensued but Genis was able to convince Mar-Vell to stop attacking when he revealed he knew about Mar-Vell's cancer. The pair teamed up to seal the rift between their universes. He was last seen dying of his cancer in his bed.[1]
