History
Captain Marvel was part of the Illuminati, and along with them dealt with the Incursions which threatened their reality's planet Earth.
During one such Incursion over Manhattan, the Illuminati came to blows with a group known as the Black Priests. He unleashed the Power Cosmic on them with all his might, but Mar-Vell, like the rest of his team, was unable to do any damage to the Priests. He was killed with the rest of his team, reduced to a skeleton by their mental assault, before they destroyed the world, in an event witnessed by the Illuminati of Earth-616 from their universe using the Bridge.[1]Attributes
