History
Moon Knight's history presumably mirrors his Earth-616 counterpart's with the exception that he founded the Midnight Mission much earlier.[2] While in his Jake Lockley persona, he approached She-Hulk who was struggling to control an unnamed alien parasite. Spector told She-Hulk that like her he struggled with voices in his head and told her that his other persona Moon Knight could help her.[3]
When Spector brought She-Hulk to the Midnight Mission, the symbiote took control of her and forcibly bonded to Spector. The symbiote then planned to bond with other superhumans to grow stronger and used Spector's different personas[5] to lure Wolverine and Doctor Strange to the Midnight Mission after they bonded with segments of the symbiote.[6]
At first, the symbiote was able to prevent Spector from realizing that he was bonded to the symbiote, but a warning from Doctor Strange and an attempt from the god Loki who was also bonded to the symbiote sought to claim the other portions of the symbiote allowed Spector to realize what was going on. With help from the symbiote, Spector was able to break free from Loki's illusion.[7]
Spector then gathered his different personas and confronted Loki. Using the symbiote's power, Spector defeated Loki. Spector and the other superhumans who bonded to with the symbiote separated from it and trapped it. The symbiote and Loki were taken into the custody by SHIELD and Spector offered She-Hulk a position in the Midnight Mission as a legal consultant.[5]Paraphernalia
