History

Margaret Carter (Earth-13178) from Marvel Puzzle Quest Cropped
In a world where Steve Rogers and Dr. Abraham Erskine were assassinated by a Nazi spy before the former could become Captain America, Peggy Carter was convinced by Howard Stark to participate in the Super-Soldier Program in his place. A former field agent, Peggy combined the powers of the Super-Soldier Serum with her top-notch combat training, defending the ideals of freedom and equality as that world's Captain America, a title which she initially resented, but grew to accept due to her increasing love for New York City.[1]

Notes

  • This version of Peggy Carter was created as part of a collaboration between Marvel's different games to celebrate Captain America's 75th anniversary, with each game creating their own original take on Captain America.[2] The popularity of the character resulted in its adaptation in the comics, debuting in Exiles (Vol. 3).[3]
