History

Little is known of Mario Castiglione's background other than that he served as a U.S. Marine during World War II, fighting in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He would later support his wife and son by working as a construction worker at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Mario and his wife legally changed their surname from Castiglione to Castle when their son was six years old, though Frank continued to use his family's original surname up until Siancong War.
