At one point, Mark started going to Midtown High. After two weeks, he became extremely popular and hooked up with Paula Lake, the captain of the school's cheerleaders.[1] During a trip to Horizon Labs, one of his classmates, Andy, gained superpowers and became a celebrity thanks to them.[1] Fascinated by this, Paula cheated on Mark with Andy.[2] Mark later learned of Paula's betrayal and the two discussed it.[3]
