Marrakesh (Arabic: Land of Gods and Idols[1]) is the fourth largest city in the Kingdom of Morocco right behind Casablanca.[1] It is one of the four Imperial cities of Morocco and is the capital of the Marrakesh-Safi region. The city is situated west of the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. One of it's main meeting areas is Jemaa el-Fnaa a market place used by locals and tourists.[1]
History
20th century[]
In 1934, the Covenant hired Wolverine to assassinate the mystical Dreaming Maiden in Marrakesh. He decided not to and hid her away but claimed to have killed her.[2]
During World War II; Mike the owner of Mike's Chicago Bar in Marrakesh and helped Sam Sawyer to save scientist Dr. Steuben from Germany to the US, and to hide one of the leaders of the Danish resistance, Josef de Groot and his daughter Christine.[3]
Modern Age[]
The deceased Dr. Palmer Addley's weapon projects began falling in the hands of the wrong people leading to attacks across the globe leaving the message "Palmer Addley is dead" one such site was in Marrakesh.[4]
