• For unknown reasons, the infamous Chrysler Building is absent from the map on Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, despite being present on the previous game.
• The webswinging system introduced on the first game was greatly improved, and is now merged with the acrobatics system, which means that the Player can swing and perform stunts without interruption in the animations.
• JJJ theorized about the possibility of Spider-Woman, Spider-Punk, and Spider-Pig, a reference to Spider-Ham.
• After the end credits, there is a homage message for the late actor Chadwick Boseman who played Black Panther.
  • West 42nd Street was also renamed to Boseman Way in game in honor to Chadwick Boseman.
• Braithwaite Bridge replaced the George Washington Bridge.
• The list of Miles' neighbors were references to characters from other mediums. Waldo, Waldo from Where's Waldo, Andy + Buzz, Andy Davis and Buzz Lightyear, Cthulhu, and Fred and Jason, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, with 13f standing in for Friday the 13th.
