Synopsis for "Elements of Terror (Part XII of XII) - The Conclusion"
The Man-Thing has assimilated Marea into his body. Meanwhile, Railsback is trying to attack Selbert, and Zahner tells Lyssa and Ditillio that that monster was the Super-Soldier that Wycombe had warned about. Ditillio, Lyssa and Zahner run to the swamp, but Choate's supersoldiers and Choate himself, in armed jeeps, surround them; Zahner recognizes Choate's face. Railsback, from within the motel, throws Selbert through the window to confront Choate. In the fight, they activate a rocket-launcher from the jeep, and the jeeps themselves are destroyed. Choate chases Ditillio, Lyssa and Zahner to the swamp, and kills them all but Ditillio, mentioning that he sacrificed his family. The strong emotions attract the Man-Thing, who fights Choate. Choate feels fear and burns at the Man-Thing's touch; he loses one arm, then is scorched in the fight.
Later, a bandaged Ditillio writes his story, his editor supporting him. Still, there are two remaining Super-Soldiers, Dixon and (probably) Railsback, flying a plane to Moscow. The President authorized the mission, which is still a secret thanks to Choate's sacrifice and the fact that Ditillio could publish the story.
