Synopsis for "Let's Take It from Where I Swing in and Rescue You..."

Paladin is reclining on a tropical beach, and tells the audience this story: he is hired by a newspaper publisher to rescue his daughter, in Dallas, Texas. She tells him that her kidnapping was just a ploy so that she could get Paladin to put pressure on her father to return thousands of acres of land to farmers in Seattle, Washington. He takes her back to her father, who reveals that he only withheld to land to keep it from a corrupt Florida-based company that wanted to use it as a toxic waste dump. Paladin travels to Florida, where he finds that the company is working for a European crime syndicate, which points him to the KGB, who tell him that they are working for a group of intergalactic warlords who plan to enslave Earth, based in Antarctica. Paladin calls in the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Alpha Flight, and the Soviet Super-Soldiers, who easily defeat the aliens. Back at the beach, Paladin reflects that playing the superhero can be a lot of fun, as long as you don't take it too seriously. A beautiful woman that he met on his travels then walks onto the scene, and he advises that the reader move on to the next story to avoid trouble with the Comics Code Authority.
