Lockheed and Widget awake; Lockheed finding himself with a deerstalker hat and Widget having a bowler hat and large moustache. Suddenly, a letter slips under the door, but when Lockheed opens it, there is no one there. They open the letter, finding a photo inside, of Lockheed of Earth-597 having been kidnapped. Outside, they see Lockheed of Earth-597 being bundled into a car by the kidnapper, and they set off in pursuit, as two individuals, calling themselves 68 and 99.9, follow them in their car.

In Captain Britain’s world, he continues to follow the yellow brick road until he comes across a rabbit, who tells him it is very late and sends him into a deep sleep. In a control room, the rest of Excalibur watch as Kitty begins to manipulate the worlds of Lockheed and Widget and Captain Britain.

As Widget and Lockheed round a corner, they find the kidnapper’s car has disappeared. Widget tracks them, and opens a portal to their location, that 68 and 99.9 also manage to fit through. They have to swerve when they arrive to avoid a steam train, which is steaming towards Lockheed of Earth-597. Widget opens a portal to send the train elsewhere, and they manage to save Lockheed. 68 and 99.9 then try to arrest them for practising without a detective’s license, but a cowboy arrives and makes them leave as Kitty rewrites the program. Then, she merges their world with Captain Britain’s, and Excalibur reunites on the Yellow Brick road, and they promise to get to the bottom of this place once and for all.

Synopsis for "Panther's Quest (Part 25) - Dawn Reunion"

In the room of the Magistrate of Communications, Pretorius ties Ramonda, T’Challa’s mother, to the bed while he goes to check on security.

Outside, Black Panther breaks free from Gore's grip as he opens up the stitching on the man’s face. As the man screams, he breaks free and lays into him. The mercenary draws a knife, but as he lunges for Black Panther the latter drives it back into him, and he lies bleeding as Black Panther makes his way inside. He leaps onto the terrace and into the Magistrate’s bedroom, where he sees Ramonda tied to the bed. He takes off his mask, and asks tentatively if she is his mother, a mother he has never seen since his third birthday. She answers yes, and he breaks the bed post and frees her, kissing her as they reunite. She tells him how, after attending the funeral of her father, she was arrested during a protest, and then the Magistrate, becoming infatuated with her, took her from prison to his house, where she had been kept. As the Magistrate enters the room, Black Panther grabs him and raises him above his head, threatening to throw him for the balcony into the pool. Ramonda asks him to put him down. Pretorius unlocks her handcuffs, and tells Ramonda how much he loves her. But she punches him, telling him to go to hell, as Black Panther picks her up and takes her back to the Solar Glider, back to Wakanda.

Synopsis for "To Slay the Devil"

In a bar, Devil-slayer begins to explain how he defeated the Demons’ plot to invade earth. At a table nearby, a man holds back his companion, telling him to wait for the signal. Devil-Slayer clutches his head as he realises the drink has been spiked. Suddenly, the man he is talking to, and all the inhabitant of the bar, drop their disguises and reveal themselves to be demons. The nearest demon tells him his psychic powers are being blocked by the drug for the next hour. But Devil-slayer’s uniform appears, and from his cloak, he can draw any weapon. He draws Dragonfang, a sword belonging to a former teammate, Valkyrie, who he sadly realises must be dead for him to draw it. As the Demons attack as one, he is overwhelmed, and as their human shapes wear off, Devil-slayer realises there isn’t long until they can use their full power. A Demon grabs his cloak, but it struggles free from his grasp, and transports them all to the borderlands of the dead. The Demons grab the weapons they find there, but Devil-slayer despatches every one until only the Demon who stole his cloak, Balthazar, remains. He is momentarily blinded by Balthazar’s power, but the sword in his hand guides him and slays Balthazar. As Balthazar’s body dissolves into dust, Dragonfang flies from his hand, and returns to the statue of Valkyrie, which disappears with the sword as he bids her a final farewell.
