Synopsis for "To Sacrifice My Soul..."
Tanya is rescued by Ka-Zar, who reunites her with Karl Lykos. Their celebration is cut short when Spider-Man and Angel, mutated into monstrous spider and bird creatures, attack them and kidnap Tanya.
Brainchild uses Tanya as a guinea pig for the devolving ray, and when Ka-Zar and Lykos arrive to rescue her, they accidentally destroy the machine and any hope of restoring Tanya after she's been reduced to a neanderthal form. Lykos uses his power to siphon off mutant energy to cure her, but despite his best efforts to keep his evil side in check, he quickly loses control. After draining Angel and Spider-Man's excess mutant energy as well, Lykos fully transforms once more into Sauron before escaping.
Angel and Spider-Man return home afterwards, but Tanya elects to stay in the Savage Land with Ka-Zar until she can find a way to save Lykos from the monster he's become.
